Recently I discovered this great art movement and I have donated some lithograph art prints to a group called Papergirl that is based at The Roundhouse Community Centre in Vancouver. Founded in Berlin five years ago it has now spread nation wide. Papergirl advocates making free art, riding bikes, giving people free art while riding bikes and connecting with community. Here is a link to their blog to find out more about this philanthropy movement of art making. http://papergirl-vancouver.blogspot.ca/p/whats-papergirl.html.
"Papergirl is an inclusive, non-commercial art project
that welcomes artists of all ages and abilities to participate by
donating their work to Papergirls. Artwork received by July 18th, 2012 will become part of a week-long exhibition to be held at the Roundhouse Community Arts Centre July 22nd-27th, 2012.
On the final day of the exhibition, the artwork will be taken down and
bundle into rolls, to be distributed by a team of volunteer cyclists, to
completely unsuspecting strangers! The generosity of our donor artists
and the hard work and dedication of our volunteers makes the Art of Giving Art possible."
I have donated the following lithograph prints and one intaglio print:
