Since having a baby in 2011 and taking time off of serious Art making for the past year and a half I have had time to reflect, time to do some sewing projects and gifts, I made a few scrapbooks, worked on some paper maché decorations for the community centre, and normalized a bit in the domestic realm after many years of full-time Fine Arts learning and not really spending much time at home. Also volunteering at the Malaspina Printmakers gallery on Granville island has started the art brain up again and getting back into the studio!
I just wanted to make a list of all the courses that I have taken in the past six years. I started at Emily Carr University of Art and Design in a 3D design basics certificate program. I then jumped in neck deep in the two year diploma program at Langara College and then I moved across the continent to Nova Scotia's College of Art and Design University to complete my BFA in Interdisciplinary studies. I am now also contemplating the Artist Institute program at Capilano University for one more year of intense study in sculpture, printmaking and multimedia as an artist in residence/post baccalaureate student.
